Advanced Stability — Chief Mate Unlimited, Modernised Syllabus — Audio Course
In January 2015 the Hoegh Osaka left Southampton with a stability condition that existed on paper and not in the water — minutes later her master was deliberately running her onto Bramble Bank to stop a capsize. Advanced Stability is the paper Chief Mate candidates fear most, and this course teaches it the way the new MCA digital assessment (management level) actually examines it: as reasoning you can defend out loud, not formulas you re-read at midnight.
